Mini Evaluation Questions

Premier Night Feedback

According to the audience feedback: FIRST 1-The plot seemed to be easy to follow and the use of the family set up was played out appropriately (this amplifies the realism and creates a strong equilibrium) 2-The change of the ending from the 1st draft to the 2nd draft was a successful decision because the camera work/editing of the glitch effect near the end was successful in the way that the protagonist looked like a helpless victim, which is exactly how most protagonists in horror movies are portrayed as. 3-Hiding the antagonist is more effective than revealing all of it, so the rest of the scene is up to the viewer''s imagination. It makes a good open ending with no equilibrium. This is going against Todorov's theory. SECOND 1- Jessica's character development is significant and her role as also the plot is simple to understand. 2- The scariest part of the movie is important to point out as it thrills the audience and this is what a horror movie reaction is expected to be. According to the second interview the hand creeping onto the bedroom door was the most frightening. 3- The ending of the movie has to be more clear- for example, what happens to Jessica? adding a scream to the end can let the audience understand that Jessica is hurt/dead. THIRD 1- There is a good use of Todorov's theory of using the equilibrium. 2- The mirror bedroom scene was an effective jump scare. 3- The glitch effect was a higly developed idea from the first draft to the second draft.
